April!

Thanks for coming back to round two of belated updates! 🙂

April was special because Pastor Mike and Sharla Hintz came to visit for about three weeks! Kurt and I would not be where we are today without the love and support of our mentors, pastors, and friends, Mike and Sharla.

One of the first things we did was celebrate the one-year anniversary of our Lifegate Subotica Campus! It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year. For those who might be unfamiliar, Lifegate Subotica is the third of our Lifegate Balkan campuses. Lifegate currently has 4 campuses in and around the Omaha, NE area, and 3 in Serbia. Our hope is to continue to expand these life-giving expressions of Jesus around the world – not just in campuses and weekend services, but through meaningful interpersonal relationships that impact lives.

Pastor Laki really embodies that. He has been so faithful in serving the people of Subotica, and their hospitality is unmatched. It was such a cool evening.

We also got to celebrate Easter, with a special message from Pastor Mike at all 3 campuses. Then we headed down to Skopje, Macedonia to be with the team there and celebrate Orthodox Easter. Pastor Mike poured his heart out once more, and we all enjoyed our time so much.

As soon as we came back, we got to enjoy our Lifegate Teen Band’s amazing concert at the Promenada (an outdoor venue by an extremely busy mall). They did a great job, as always. I’m personally so excited that Annabelle gets to do what she loves by singing and performing here in Serbia.

It was so amazing for Pastor Mike and Sharla to invest so much time and care in the team here and in Kurt and myself, personally. We really are so grateful for their roles in our Serbian campuses and in our lives. So, so grateful.

April was full of stretching and growth, and honestly, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

May held a lot as well, including our trip back to Omaha! I’ll post that update soon!

1. Pray for our teams, here in Serbia and in Omaha. Everyone at Lifegate as a whole has been facing so much change, and we need the grace and courage to continue to be still and listen to Holy Spirit’s leading. If you have any senses or words from the Lord, please always feel free to share them! We’d love to hear from you, either in the comments, direct messages, or via email.
2. Pray for fresh insights, continued grace and stamina, and new ideas. This team is amazing. We are so grateful to be part of such an amazing movement, but there is a very real spiritual adversary who would love to thwart God’s plans. Please pray for protection, provision, and wisdom.
